Jennifer and Mitchell’s Publick House Wedding was the perfect blend of historic elegance, heartfelt moments, and joyful celebration. And we were so honored to be their wedding photographers for such a beautiful day.
The Publick House in Sturbridge, Massachusetts is one of those venues that never fails to impress. With its rich New England history, immaculately maintained grounds, and timeless charm, it offers a setting that feels both refined and welcoming. And, as always, the famous bunnies made their appearance, hanging around during the ceremony and even joining us for portraits. They truly add a bit of magic every time.
Both Jennifer and Mitchell got ready in the suites at the Publick House, and the energy throughout the morning was incredible. There was an undeniable sense of excitement in the air- friends and family buzzing, laughter echoing through the rooms, and that shared anticipation that something truly special was about to happen.
You know how they say rain on your wedding day is good luck? Jennifer and Mitchell got the very best version of that tradition. Just before the ceremony, a quick five-minute downpour passed through. Then, almost like a scene from a movie, the sun came out, the grass dried, and the sky opened up into something absolutely stunning. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend, which made the moment even more meaningful. He did a wonderful job! He was personal, warm, and genuine. And as an added bonus, he became an honorary assistant during portraits, happily holding back tree branches to help us capture the best possible images!
The reception was filled with everything we love most: funny and emotional toasts, an incredible choreographed first dance that had everyone smiling, and a fun, joyful cake cutting. And can we talk about that cake? It was just as beautiful as it was delicious.
As for the portraits- this is definitely one area where the Publick House truly shines. We explored the grounds together, capturing images by the pond with the barns in the background, along the charming white fence, and in the perfectly manicured meadow. Every corner of this venue offers something picturesque, and Jennifer and Mitchell looked absolutely radiant in each setting.
