Nicole and Kevin {Proposal} - mbm weddings wedding photographers

We got to be a part of Nicole and Kevin’s proposal story! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again and again. Any person who hires a photographer for their proposal is hands-down the most romantic person in the world!

Kevin sent me an email about a week before he and Nicole planned to be on the Connecticut shore to visit family for a few days. We did some super fast planning, and it was all worth it! As you can imagine, planning proposal photography is difficult. It’s not like I can ever (ever!) call or text and Kevin could only get in touch when Nicole wasn’t around. We had lots of late night and early morning emails happening.

Anyway, so the day gets there, and the weather is gorgeous. It’s beautiful outside, with a slight and perfect summer breeze. Brian and I got to the beach and found some Adirondack chairs (my favorite!) to sit in while Kevin and Nicole shared a romantic lunch. Finally, I got the “just paid the bill” text! Kevin was about to lead Nicole to a romantic walk on the rocks before proposing.

Every time, right before a proposal, I get butterflies! I’m always just so excited for how they’re going to propose. Kevin must have said some very sweet words to Nicole (We couldn’t hear!) because she kissed him. Just then, Kevin dropped to one knee.

And oh my goodness! As always, this proposal did not disappoint! Nicole was so happy and her face radiated. I loved watching her hug Kevin and look at her new ring, which, by the way, is beautiful! And sentimental! Her ring has her grandmother’s diamond in it!

I love love love stories like Nicole and Kevin’s.

Sweet Penelope 🤍

I do not get to photograph newborns often, but I truly love lifestyle newborn photography. There is something so special about slowing down and documenting these first tender days at home. Photographing Penelope’s session with her loving parents, Sarah and Tom, was such an honor.

This precious girl was an absolute angel. The only time she made a sound was when her mommy and daddy were not touching her. She clearly loves being safe in their arms, right where she belongs.

Sarah and Tom, thank you for trusting me to snuggle your beautiful baby and capture her very first photo session. Congratulations to your sweet family on the arrival of your perfect little darling.

Jennifer and Mitchell’s wedding day at the Publick House in Sturbridge, Massachusetts was the perfect blend of historic elegance, heartfelt moments, and pure joy. From getting ready onsite surrounded by buzzing excitement, to a ceremony that felt deeply personal and meaningful, every part of the day unfolded so naturally and beautifully.

Just before the ceremony, a brief rain shower passed through- the kind they say brings good luck. Minutes later, the sun emerged, the grounds dried, and the sky transformed into something truly breathtaking. It felt cinematic in the best possible way. Add in a ceremony officiated by a close friend, the iconic Publick House bunnies making a surprise appearance, and portraits by the pond, barns, and manicured meadows, and the day was nothing short of magical.

The celebration continued with emotional and funny toasts, a choreographed first dance that had everyone smiling, and a joyful cake cutting that perfectly reflected Jennifer and Mitchell’s energy as a couple.

There is truly nothing like being in the bridal suite with the girls. As a total girlie girl, it’s one of my favorite part of the day, always full of laughter, excitement, and the kind of energy that makes you feel like you’ve just gained a whole new group of friends. Leah’s excitement was contagious, her bridesmaids had the best time getting ready, and every single one of them looked absolutely beautiful.
