Rachel and Travis {Lighthouse Point Park}

Rachel and Travis planned their whimsical Lighthouse Point Park Wedding from 800 miles away, in Kentucky. That could not have been an easy feat, and they did a very impressive job! We spent about a year chatting via email and phone and we finally got to meet last winter at this adorable little coffee shop in Hartford, CT. It was great to meet them and we had a really nice visit while they were in CT seeing family and making final wedding plans.

Their wedding was gorgeous! With help from their event stylist, they created a Mary Poppins whimsical theme. It was so fun and playful. This may be one of my favorite images!! It just makes me smile!

Check out all those whimsical details though! Parasols hanging from a ceiling?! Teacups in a the centerpieces?! A carousel for guests to ride?! The event stylist did not miss a thing!!

After we got pictures of Rachel and Travis getting ready, we went outside for their first look. Travis picked the spot. It was perfect. They were on the beach, on this little rock walkway headed to the water with the lighthouse behind them. It was very sweet and very emotional. We took all of the bridal party portraits and all of the family portraits after their first look.

Then, the ceremony. I love it so much when a couple has somebody close to them perform the ceremony. They asked a close friend to marry them. It was so sweet and I love how personalized a ceremony is when a couple chooses to be married this way.

Pictures of the two of them were very important to the couple. We had a whole hour to just walk around and I am so glad we did. I am so in love with the images we got and I hope they find their way on to walls throughout Travis and Rachel’s entire home!

And then….. the party! After the first dance (lovely), the parent dances (so emotional) and the toasts (hilarious!) the dance floor opened up and it was hopping all night!!!!
