Ali and Jake had their wedding at the beautiful Ludlow Country Club in Ludlow, MA. The grounds were gorgeous. On one side of the hall, you could see beautiful foliage. The other side at the most gorgeous lighting coming through the trees that you’ll ever see. If you follow my work, you’ll know I love (LOVE!) shooting into the sun! Jake and Ali did their first look on the side with the amazing light. Then, because we were in the middle of somebody’s golf game (Thank you, stranger, for waiting!) we went to the other side for the rest of our portraits. But more about their wedding story in a bit!
I met Ali and Jake a few months ago when we started planning their engagement session. You can see that HERE.
Jake and Ali did a first look. I love love love first looks! And again, did I mention that light?! Awwwww This was such a sweet first look. Jake turned around so fast! He couldn’t wait to see his bride.
We were able to get a few portraits done before it just got too cold. In the fall in New England, there is a quick transition between that gorgeous warm light that makes the leaves glow, and then bam. It feels and looks like midnight in January! But have no fear, we knew there was that gorgeous chandelier by the balcony! And a fireplace!
The ceremony was perfect. The pastor was a family friend. Ali’s dad gave her the most sentimental hand-off to Jake. They were certainly surrounded by love from their friends and family.
And that reception. Oh my goodness, was it fun! The music was amazing! The dance floor was packed all night. Everybody danced with everybody!
