Erin and Nick were married at the beautiful Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. They had the most amazing light. I love that they were willing to go outside again during dinner to get that gorgeous sunset sky. From day one, I had a really terrific time planning with Erin and Nick. Starting with our first meeting, I knew I wanted to work with them. They are so easy-going and so happy together. They are so much in love and it’s just the sweetest. They have really fun friends and family. Shout-out to the super nice guy who helped me bring my equipment to my car after the reception!
Erin’s advice for couples planning their wedding is to stay organized and make lots of checklists. I asked her what her favorite part of planning was. “I’m very much a planner, so I loved every minute of planning the wedding. Our favorite part was probably being able to purchase special gifts for our bridal party and parents. Each of the gifts were personalized, and we are so excited to give them each their gifts at the rehearsal dinner. I also really enjoyed doing the favors for everyone at the wedding, and of course, dress shopping :)”
Personally, I love Pinterest. I can’t duplicate every image on a Pinterest board due to venues, lighting, the people, timing, etc. However, I do always suggest that my brides and grooms start a board for inspiration and so that I can see the style that they love. Check out Erin’s Wedding board.
Erin got her dress at East West Bridal in Manchester, CT. Here’s what she said when I asked her about her dress. “I shopped with my mother, sister, and bridesmaids for the dress. We went to a total of six shops I believe, but we ended up going back to the second shop, East West Bridal in Manchester CT, because I knew it was the one. It fit my shape perfectly, and had pearls and sparkles all over it. I loved it from the minute I tried it on.” The bridesmaid dresses came from David’s Bridal and the groomsmen and Nick got their suits from Men’s Wearhouse.
