In the past few months, I’ve really been appreciating “woman-ness” a lot more than in the past. I’m realizing some truly wonderful parts about being a woman, and I’ve been celebrating the fact that I am a mother, a daughter, a wife and a friend. I can go into all the silly jokes about how mothers are also chefs, teachers, chauffeurs, doctors, etc. but I am not going to. The fact is that I (and many women around the world) are all of these things and more, not because we “have” to, but because we want to. As difficult as it often is, we love the life we’ve been given and we all should celebrate who we are and who we work so hard to be.
Darci turned 30 a couple of months ago. As a gift to herself, she asked me to help capture the fierce, classy and sexy woman that she is with a series of boudoir images. She wanted to capture the “happiness and confidence” she is feeling as she enters this new decade.
I felt honored that she asked me to do this project with her and I hope she is as proud of these images as I am.
Great job Mel!
