A Romantic Wickham Park Wedding Followed by a Stunning Celebration at The Foundry
Jack and Devon’s love story feels like something straight out of a movie, which makes perfect sense, since these two first fell for each other while acting together in college. Their connection has always been magnetic, full of laughter, creativity, and heart, and their wedding day at Wickham Park followed by an unforgettable celebration at The Foundry in Hartford reflected that perfectly.
The ceremony took place in the gardens of Wickham Park, surrounded by sweeping views and even bigger emotions. Jack’s sister, Lauren, officiated, which was a deeply personal touch that set the tone for a heartfelt and joy-filled day. There wasn’t a dry eye when Jack recited lines from a special play the two had performed together in college, weaving in words that had marked the beginning of their love story. Tears, laughter, and joy all mixed together in one perfect, emotional moment.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Foundry, a venue known for its breathtaking views over Hartford and its mix of historic charm and modern elegance. The celebration was filled with energy, love, and the kind of laughter that only happens when two people who are truly meant to be finally get to call each other husband and wife.
When asked about the planning process, Devon admitted it’s been “a crazy few months” juggling wedding details with her demanding schedule as a second-year family medicine resident. “It’s been fun doing some Etsy shopping and little crafts to personalize everything for our guests,” she said. “Putting together the slideshow and going through all our memories together was really special. But the order of events for the ceremony and post-reception site- those were the two things we definitely put off for as long as possible!”
And then, of course, there was the dress. Devon’s approach was as modern and practical as it was romantic. “Time has definitely been a challenge,” she laughed. “I ended up buying my dress online through a home try-on program. I actually saw a notification that my dress was back in stock immediately after I finished admitting a patient! I literally had to put in my credit card info right there!”
From emotional vows and handcrafted details to an unforgettable party at The Foundry, Jack and Devon’s wedding day was the perfect reflection of who they are, heartfelt, joyful, and filled with deep love and intention.
