Connecticut Newborn Photographer Moments by Melanie

Oh.My.Goodness. Life couldn’t get any better for this family. Newborn Joseph completes the crew. Carla and Greg are Joseph’s proud parents and Lila and Sam are thrilled to be promoted to oldest sister and big brother! The family chose a lifestyle session to showcase their love for one another and how they live their day-to-day lives.

Just walking into this home, I was filled with a sense of calm and love. Lila and Sam were so excited to show me their new little brother and when it was their turn to hold him, the smiles on their faces were priceless. Even newborn Joseph loved looking at and listening to his brother and sister!

For the first set of images, we went to read on Mom and Dad’s bed. The family has a current favorite, “You’re All My Favorites,” that they read together often. The children were so funny helping their mom to read along. Sam got distracted by his brother a few times; he just could not stop looking at and touching him. It was so precious.

While we got ready for some more pictures, Carla and Lila got Joseph changed. I’ve already said it, but the look of pure love and pride shown in Lila’s eyes. She is going to be the BEST helper. This girl loves her new baby.

I do not get to photograph newborns often, but I truly love lifestyle newborn photography. There is something so special about slowing down and documenting these first tender days at home. Photographing Penelope’s session with her loving parents, Sarah and Tom, was such an honor.

This precious girl was an absolute angel. The only time she made a sound was when her mommy and daddy were not touching her. She clearly loves being safe in their arms, right where she belongs.

Jennifer and Mitchell’s wedding day at the Publick House in Sturbridge, Massachusetts was the perfect blend of historic elegance, heartfelt moments, and pure joy. From getting ready onsite surrounded by buzzing excitement, to a ceremony that felt deeply personal and meaningful, every part of the day unfolded so naturally and beautifully.

Just before the ceremony, a brief rain shower passed through- the kind they say brings good luck. Minutes later, the sun emerged, the grounds dried, and the sky transformed into something truly breathtaking. It felt cinematic in the best possible way. Add in a ceremony officiated by a close friend, the iconic Publick House bunnies making a surprise appearance, and portraits by the pond, barns, and manicured meadows, and the day was nothing short of magical.

The celebration continued with emotional and funny toasts, a choreographed first dance that had everyone smiling, and a joyful cake cutting that perfectly reflected Jennifer and Mitchell’s energy as a couple.
