There’s something magical about New England in the spring, especially when it’s paired with a moment as unforgettable as a proposal.
Joe and Sedina got engaged at the iconic Ocean House in Westerly, Rhode Island, a location as timeless and romantic as their love story. The wind was wild that day, with waves crashing along the shore. But nothing could shake the joy radiating from these two.
Joe had planned a little getaway to Ocean House with his family, and it just so happened to be the day before Sedina’s birthday. It was the perfect opportunity to turn a celebration into something even more meaningful. Brian and I arrived a few hours early to scout out the best locations for the big moment. Once Joe and Sedina arrived, the plan started falling into place.
Joe’s brother, Ben, and his fiancée, Katie, headed out for a walk and started texting with us to pick the perfect spot. As soon as we saw it, we knew- it was the one. Quiet, scenic, and with the Atlantic stretching endlessly behind it, it was the ideal setting for what was about to unfold.
Then came the moment.
Joe and Sedina took a romantic stroll along the boardwalk, hand in hand, as the ocean breeze swirled around them. When they reached the chosen spot, Joe dropped to one knee and asked Sedina to spend forever with him.
She said yes!
The joy on their faces was undeniable. Pure, heartfelt, and absolutely beautiful. We captured every second of that incredible moment, followed by a few engagement portraits that we’ll be sharing soon!
After the proposal and portraits, the celebration continued with an intimate family dinner at Ocean House. Joe, Sedina, Ben, Katie, Joe and Ben’s parents, and even Joe and Ben’s brother (joining via FaceTime!) gathered together to toast this new chapter in Joe and Sedina’s love story.
It was a day full of love, laughter, windblown hair, and unforgettable memories—and Brian and I were so honored to be a part of it.
