Ashley and Troy’s backyard wedding may be the most intricate DIY wedding I have ever been a part of. Everything (everything!!!) was breathtakingly beautiful! The family thought of everything.
I actually met Ashley’s parents a few months before I met Ashley and Troy. Ashley and Troy were living in Seattle while Ashley’s parents were helping out tremendously back in New England. The first time I met Mr. and Mrs. Kardys, we instantly clicked. They are so fun and I loved hearing their story as well. They were just babies when they got married and they wanted to give their daughter everything they could for her wedding. And that’s what they did.
About a year ago, Ashley’s parents bought land with the plan to build a house on it. A couple of months after they bought the land, and had just started building the house, Ashley and Troy became engaged and asked Ashley’s parents if they could get married in the backyard of their new house. Troy, Ashley and her family worked day and night tirelessly for eight months building a house, planting grass and planning a wedding. You will NOT believe what they were able to accomplish!!!
Ashley and Troy, thank you for trusting me with your wedding photography. I am honored that I got to be a part of your day.
