Fifty years. Wow. Joe and Sandy have been married for fifty years! Their grown children and grandchildren threw them a huge anniversary party at Mill on the River. It was a beautiful day and their children didn’t miss a detail.
When I first got there, everybody was busy! Two of their daughters were putting the finishing touches on the cake. (How beautiful is that cake?!) Some of their grandchildren were getting the slideshow going. Getting all of those pictures must have certainly been a team effort! I kept sneaking peeks of the slideshow during the evening and it was truly amazing how the family was able to collect all of those important pictures.
*This is where I feel I need to remind you all to PRINT your pictures! They will not last forever on your phone and your hard drive!*
I love that Joe and Sandy’s children put so much love and care into this Golden Anniversary celebration. Like I said, they didn’t miss a detail. Do you see that the favors are wedding pictures in a golden frame? And the candy jars with their favorite candies are wrapped in gold glitter!
Throughout the party, we took short trips outside (it was very very hot and we all were loving that AC!) for some family portraits. We got small groupings and big groupings! My two favorites are the portrait of the entire family, and the portrait of Joe and Sandy with their original bridal party. How cool is that, right?!
I’m going to let the pictures tell you the story.
Cathie, thank you for getting in touch with me. It was an honor to be with your family as you celebrated your parents. It was also really great to see Andrew again! He has grown into a very handsome young man, but I will always remember him as that sweet, adorable little boy in my first-grade class.
