Amy and Edward {Metro Bis Intimate Wedding}

On a beautiful spring day, surrounded by soft pink blooms and the sweetest breeze, Amy and Edward celebrated their Metro Bis intimate wedding in the most heartfelt way. It was the kind of day you dream about — timeless, romantic, and full of love.

Their ceremony took place in the courtyard of Metro Bis with the gentle spring air lifting Amy’s veil at just the right moments. As Amy’s father walked her down the aisle, Edward watched on with anticipation. Their ceremony included a meaningful hand-fasting tradition, where Edward carefully tucked the ribbon into his pocket for safekeeping — a perfect symbol of their bond. Their kiss as they walked back up the aisle was simply magical, and once again, the breeze danced with Amy’s gown, making for a very romantic moment!

After their ceremony, Amy and Edward hosted an intimate brunch with their closest family and friends at Metro Bis. The food was absolutely incredible — Brian and I are already planning our return trip just for the French Toast! We loved hearing the heartfelt toasts from their wedding party and Edward’s mother, filled with stories and laughter that painted a beautiful picture of their love.

One thing we absolutely loved was how Amy and Edward chose to cut their cake privately. We stepped out onto the patio, and in the quiet glow of the afternoon, they shared that sweet tradition together — just the two of them (and of course, our cameras!). It was such a special moment that truly captured the essence of their day.

Their portraits were to die for! Metro Bis has so many hidden little corners, and we explored them all. From the historic charm of the building itself to the perfect pink blossoms, every backdrop felt like it was made just for them.

When I asked Amy about the wedding planning process, she shared such powerful advice:

“It’s been fun and a challenge to figure out what we really want and our style is when there are so many things you are told you ‘need’ or ‘should do.’ Our goal was to truly have this be our day and not about anyone else. This is truly your day, don’t let anyone impact your decisions about your day. The second you get married, you are your core family unit and need to choose each other every day over anyone else. Start with the wedding planning.”

We couldn’t agree more. Amy and Edward’s day was a perfect reflection of their love — authentic, intentional, and deeply connected.

Amy found her gorgeous gown at the Wedding Embassy in Oakville, CT. With its elegant bow on the veil, perfectly coordinated jewelry, and — yes — pockets (!!), it was the perfect choice. Amy said she fell in love with the dress the moment she tried it on, and we can absolutely see why — she was stunning.
